Confessions of a Tudor Girl Living in the Desert

One of the reasons I love real estate? I’ve been fascinated by architectural home styles for years.

I grew up in NE Ohio in a Tudor revival (pictured here) — still my favorite style to this day. My neighborhood had colonial revivals, federal style, western reserve revivals, American foursquares… the variety was endless.

Moving to Phoenix was a rude awakening. 😬 Nary a Tudor in sight, and most of the styles I grew up with simply aren’t built here. It took me a few years to appreciate what the Valley does have.

That’s why I’m excited to share my series on AZ Architectural Styles — 13 styles total, split into two parts. Part 1 drops Wednesday, Part 2 Thursday.
